I enjoy reading your blog. Your posts are rather insightful and eye-opening. Ironically, I am Christian. Hold on. Let me restate that. I am a follower of Christ. I hate being categorized with Christians because of the hypocrisy that is attributed to the Christian name. Why I love your blog so much is because it reveals a lot of the hypocrisy.

Not only am I Christian, but I am also gay. This is something that most Christians have a problem with. I should be burned at the steak after being forced to have sexual relations with a woman as an act of repentance. But I believe God made me the way I am. I believe God has a purpose in my life.

I think you are doing a great job. I wish more Christians would read this. But, most probably would not because Christians hate to hear the truth. They believe all the boycotting and law making would make more people turn to Christ. They are wrong and it's destroying the Christian community.

Why not allow us heathens, nonbelievers and pagans to have our "rights of conscience and religious liberty"? You want to outlaw embryonic stem cell research when I believe it can save lives to do research in that area. You want to outlaw a certain kind of marriage when my friends and family want to be married to their partners. Let us follow our consciences as humanists and atheists. Let us be free to proclaim that there is no God, that religion is a man-made system of control to keep the proud bigots powerful. Let us stand up for our sins and debauchery, our revelry and drunkenness. Let us be proud of the long atheist traditions of science and reason. But no, the history of religion shows that though they proclaim their martyrs, we scientists and freethinkers are the ones persecuted by the authorities. Let us define for ourselves what our lives and loves should be. I'm standing against the religious now. I was once a tolerant person, proud that I was ok with everyone's beliefs. But tolerance is not what religion breeds, and we who are the minority will have to stand against the majority. We cannot tolerate them as they defend the poisoning of our Earth. We cannot stand idly by as they attack us for who we are, whether it be non-believer, female, or homosexual. My conscience cries out tonight that their bigotry and nonsense cannot be tolerated any longer. Reason, progress, and freedom cannot be stopped.

Good, throw them in prison with the rest of the real criminals. They'll beg to live free among us sinners once again.
