We’ve all heard of people being stoned to death.. But what does that look like?
Militants from Hizbul Islam haul the bloodied body of Mohamed Ibrahim, 48, from a chest-deep pit after stoning him to death for illicit sexual intercourse with a woman in the Afgoye district, Somalia on December 13, 2009. Ibrahim was sentenced to death by a local Islamic court after he was found guilty of infidelity.

Before you blame Islam, keep in mind Christians and Jews have done their share of stonings.

If there were ever a sign that humans are indeed animals, live as animals, act as animals, and die as animals, the actions of the religious make the case that the many of us who embrace loftier notions of human nobility are merely putting on airs.
I’ve seen monkeys do this to ward off unwanted males within their group. Christians, Islamic, everyone of these religious groups that deny evolution still seem to be the proof for it.
Now I’ve smoked a lot over the years but I’ve never been that stoned.
Sure christians stone people to death all the time, its always in the news, can’t pick up a paper or go on the internet without reading about Christians stoning someone to death.
Just rewind history about 500-600 years. That is where Islam is. Compare modern Islam with 15th century Christianity. Lots of hangings and burnings.
Was it really Christianity if that is not something that Jesus told them to do? Like there was a story where men brought a woman cheating to Jesus and he said to them “let he who has not sin cast the first stone” and everyone walked away. What they did in the 15th century is the illogical conclusion of a logical belief. I mean that like saying within that worldview it is logical.
Whoever runs this site should understand religion in the abstract before they write it off based on its horrible manifestations. Ultimately, this sort of thing (stoning) is the exact thing Christianity aims to prevent, as 99 suggested. Read some Hegel before you go around acting all high and mighty.
