Let me cool down. Right, how can we all protest by sending google a copy and distributing it as widely as possible? They should not be allowed to get aeay with this.

“Muslim is” technically does not make sense because “Muslim” is the word for an active participant in the ISLAM religion, not a name for the religion. “A Muslim is” would be more grammatically correct.
Michael is right in that, when you type in ‘muslim is ‘ you will get similar results. When you type ‘muslim is’ it gets results like ‘muslim islam’ which is what navado likely saw. But this is missing the point. Slowly type in ‘Islam is’. As soon as you hit the S, all the results disappear. This shows a deliberate censorship by google, and it is despicable and cowardly.
On the “Islam is” search, I’d have to agree with everyone that it seems very intentional, but I don’t think that the “Muslim is” search is. You need the space because there are too many words associated with Muslim that start with “is,” such as Islam and Ishmael.
If you try “Christians are…” or “Jews are…” or “Muslims are..” You get the same blank. I wonder if they have some process meant to keep from being accused of promoting hate speech. However, it seems that this places criticism of Islam on the same level as criticism of Muslims, while not doing the same thing for Christianity and Christians, or Judaism and Jews. I call foul.
You get the same for “black people are”, “white people are” and “Asian people are”, so apparently, Google is generally trying to protect all members of religious groups and races. They’re normally not protecting ideas though… except in the case of Islam. But as someone pointed out below, they already changed that now. They’re more scared of losing their credibility than of a Muslim backlash against an algorithm, I guess.

If you type in “Muslim is ” you will see similar results as the other religions.
Michael, you’ll not…
You need to add a space after “is” for the results to appear.

I am quite aware of that. My point was only that if they were trying to censor their auto-complete feature, they didn’t do a very good job of it.
Nope, doesn’t work.

The algorithm doesnt know what to do with the typing of it, since algorithm was invented by a muslim he opted islam out of it.
look at the number one of ‘google is’ *grin*
